Above the snow-covered hills of the Westallgäu rises the chain of the Alps — close enough to touch on clear days, a dark line above the fog on grey ones.
The cross-country trails start right in the village. If you'd rather climb than glide, there are snowshoe routes through quiet forests; if you'd rather ride, the lift is a short trip away.

Winter outside is one half. The other begins once your boots are by the door: the Badstube with a view into the valley, a seat by the fire, a glass in hand.
